I prefer freeform cabs instead of traditional oval or round ones. They force ones imagination and enhance creativity.

The picture above in the middle is a brooch 's picture.  I don't have it anymore. This was an accessory to a hand painted silk scarf  which I still have it.  So I decided to carve an ametrine to make another similar brooch. On both side you see the carving of the iris.
